MEDUSA: (admiring herself) Oh, sisters! Look at my magnificent snake hair! It’s positively frightful!
STHENO: (chuckles) Yes, Medusa, frightful indeed! But I must say, my snakes are just as terrifying!
EURYALE: And let’s not forget mine! Our hair is the envy of every Gorgon in existence!
[Enter Hero, cautiously approaching the Gorgons]
HERO: (bravely) Gorgon sisters, I have come to prove my bravery and claim a victory against you!
MEDUSA: (laughs) Oh, little Hero, you dare challenge us? Prepare to be turned to stone!
STHENO: Indeed! We shall show you the true power of the Gorgons!
EURYALE: You won’t stand a chance against our gaze!
HERO: (holding up a mirrored shield) Ah, but I have come prepared! I shall not gaze directly at you.
MEDUSA: (confused) What? How can you defeat us without meeting our gaze?
STHENO: This is unexpected!
EURYALE: We are the feared Gorgons!
HERO: (smiling) Fear not, for I have a plan! I shall use this mirror to see you without looking directly at you.
MEDUSA: (angry) That won’t save you!
STHENO: You think you can outsmart us?
EURYALE: We shall see about that!
[The Gorgon sisters advance toward the Hero, hissing and attempting to catch his gaze]
HERO: (holding up the mirrored shield) Back, foul creatures! Your gaze shall not harm me!
[The Gorgon sisters are bewildered as they see their reflections in the mirror]
MEDUSA: (astonished) What sorcery is this?
STHENO: Our gaze turned upon us!
EURYALE: This is impossible!
HERO: (triumphant) Now, Gorgon sisters, your reign of terror ends! I have conquered the unconquerable!
[The Gorgon sisters, realizing their defeat, retreat in fear]
MEDUSA: (whispering) We have been bested, sisters. We must accept our fate.
STHENO: (grudgingly) It seems the Hero has proven his courage.
EURYALE: (sighs) We shall return to our cave and remain hidden from the world.
[The Gorgon sisters slither away, defeated but with a sense of acceptance]
HERO: (victorious) And so, the Gorgons are defeated! I shall be celebrated throughout the land!
[The Hero exits the scene, leaving the cave empty and the Gorgon sisters in retreat]
NARRATOR: And so, the Hero’s courage and quick thinking have prevailed! The Gorgon sisters, once the most feared creatures in all of Greek mythology, have been vanquished. But let us remember, dear audience, that even the most ferocious monsters can teach us valuable lessons. In this tale, we learn that sometimes, the greatest power lies not in brute force, but in wit and strategy.
