ACT 1:

Scene 1: Geppetto’s Workshop

NARRATOR: In Geppetto’s workshop, he is working on his latest creation, a puppet made of wood.

GEPPETTO: (sighs) I wish I had a son to keep me company. (Holds up the puppet) Maybe you could be my son, little puppet. What should I name you? (Thinks for a moment) Pinocchio! That’s a good name.

PINOCCHIO: (comes to life) Good morning, Father!

GEPPETTO: (surprised) You’re alive! I can’t believe it.

PINOCCHIO: (curiously) Who am I?

GEPPETTO: (smiling) You’re my son, Pinocchio.

NARRATOR: Pinocchio was thrilled to be alive, but he soon discovered that being a wooden puppet wasn’t easy. He had trouble telling the truth and obeying his father.

Scene 2: Pinocchio Meets Jiminy Cricket

NARRATOR: One day, Pinocchio met a wise cricket named Jiminy Cricket, who became his conscience and guided him on his journey.

JIMINY CRICKET: (sings) When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are, anything your heart desires will come to you.

PINOCCHIO: (sings) What do I have to do to become a real boy?

JIMINY CRICKET: (sings) You have to be brave, truthful, and unselfish.

NARRATOR: Pinocchio promised Jiminy that he would be a good boy and make his father proud.

ACT 2:

Scene 1: Pinocchio Meets the Fox and the Cat

CAT: (flatteringly) You’re the most handsome puppet we’ve ever seen.

PINOCCHIO: (excitedly) Really? Where are we going?

NARRATOR: But the fox and the cat were not to be trusted, and they led Pinocchio into danger.

Scene 2: The Land of Toys

NARRATOR: Pinocchio also visited the Land of Toys, where he met a group of mischievous boys who convinced him to stay and play with them instead of going to school.

BOYS: (chanting) No more school! No more books! No more teachers’ dirty looks!

NARRATOR: But Pinocchio soon discovered that the Land of Toys was a trap, and he was turned into a donkey.

PINOCCHIO: (happily) I am so grateful for everything that has happened to me. I’ve learned so much, and I’m finally a real boy.

GEPPETTO: (proudly) I’m so proud of you, my son. You’ve worked hard to become the good boy that you are today.

JIMINY CRICKET: (smiling) And remember Pinocchio, always let your conscience be your guide.
