ACT I

Scene 1:

(Cindy is typing away at her laptop when Mrs. Van Der Woodsen, Emma, and Olivia enter the room, dressed in designer clothes)

EMMA: Hey, sis. What are you doing?

CINDY: Just working on a project for work.

OLIVIA: Booooring! Come on, let’s go shopping!

CINDY:  Sorry, I can’t.  I have work to do!

MRS. VAN DER WOODSEN: What’s the matter, Cindy? Why are you always so boring and unambitious?

CINDY: (sighs) I’m happy with my job. It pays the bills.

MRS. VAN DER WOODSEN: You need to aim higher, Cindy. Get a better job, and find a rich husband. You’re not getting any younger, you know.

CINDY: I’ll keep that in mind.

MRS. VAN DER WOODSEN: Come on girls, let’s go now.  We have to be here on time for the ball.  By the way, Cindy, don’t forget to wash all the dishes and do the laundry while we are at the ball tonight.

CINDY:  Don’t worry, I won’t.

Scene 2:

(Cindy is asleep in bed when Fairy Godmother appears)

FAIRY GODMOTHER: Cindy, wake up!

CINDY: (groggily) What? Who are you?

FAIRY GODMOTHER: I’m your Fairy Godmother, and I’m here to help you. Look!

(She produces a magical phone and a dazzling dress)

CINDY: Wow! What are these?

FAIRY GODMOTHER: These are your keys to a better life, and with these, you can be whomever you want to be.  A car is waiting for you, go to the ball and don’t forget to be here by midnight.

CINDY:  Oh, thank you Fairy Godmother!

ACT II

Scene 1:

(Cindy arrives at the ball in her beautiful dress and catches the eye of Prince Alexander)

PRINCE ALEXANDER: May I have this dance?

CINDY: I’d love to.

(They dance together, and the prince is smitten with Cindy)

PRINCE ALEXANDER: You’re amazing. I’ve never met anyone like you.

CINDY: Thank you. I’m having a wonderful time.

Scene 2:

(Cindy hurries to leave the ball when the clock strikes midnight, but she drops her phone and loses one of her high heels)

CINDY: Oh no! My phone and my shoe!

PRINCE ALEXANDER: Wait! Who are you? Please don’t go!

(Cindy runs away, leaving the prince desperate to find her)

ACT III

Scene 1:

(Cindy and her friends Carlos, Sarah, and Tyler set out to find a way to reconnect with the prince)

CARLOS: We need to find him! But where do we start?

SARAH: Maybe we can track his phone or something?

TYLER: Or we can just go to his company headquarters and confront him!

(Cindy is hesitant, but her friends convince her to go along with the plan)

Scene 2:

(Cindy and her friends arrive at the company headquarters and confront the prince)

CINDY: Prince Alexander, I’m sorry I ran away. But I wanted you to like me for who I am, not for my fancy dress or my phone.

PRINCE ALEXANDER: Cindy, I like you for you. Please, will you give me another chance?

CINDY: Yes, I will.

Scene 3:

(Cindy and Prince Alexander ride off into the sunset, hand in hand)

CINDY: I’ve never been happier.

PRINCE ALEXANDER: Neither have I. I’m so glad I found you.

CINDY: Me too. But what about my stepfamily? They’ll never let me be with you.

PRINCE ALEXANDER: Don’t worry. I’ll talk to them. I’m sure they’ll understand.

(They arrive at Cindy’s house, where Mrs. Van Der Woodsen, Emma, and Olivia are waiting)

MRS. VAN DER WOODSEN: Cindy, where have you been? And who is this man with you?

CINDY: Mother, this is Prince Alexander. We’ve fallen in love.

EMMA: What? This is ridiculous! He’s way out of your league.

OLIVIA: Yeah, and he’s probably just using you for your money.

PRINCE ALEXANDER: That’s not true. I love Cindy for who she is, not for her money or status.

MRS. VAN DER WOODSEN: Well, if you’re serious about her, then you’ll have to prove it. We have a tradition in our family. If a man wants to marry one of my daughters, he must pass a series of tests to prove his worth.

CINDY: Mother, no! You can’t do this.

PRINCE ALEXANDER: It’s okay, Cindy. I’m up for the challenge. What do I have to do?

MRS. VAN DER WOODSEN: First, you must complete a scavenger hunt to find the perfect engagement ring for Cindy. Then, you must plan and execute the perfect wedding in just one week’s time.

PRINCE ALEXANDER: I accept your challenge.

ACT IV

Scene 1:

(Prince Alexander sets off on his scavenger hunt, determined to find the perfect ring for Cindy. He enters a jewelry store, where he is greeted by the jeweler.)

JEWELER: Welcome, Your Highness. How may I assist you?

PRINCE ALEXANDER: I’m looking for the perfect engagement ring for my beloved. Can you show me what you have?

JEWELER: Of course. We have a wide selection of beautiful rings. What kind of style are you looking for?

PRINCE ALEXANDER: I want something that is both elegant and unique, just like Cindy.

JEWELER: I think I have just the thing. Follow me. (He leads Prince Alexander to a display case, where he shows him a ring with a rare diamond) This is a one-of-a-kind ring, Your Highness. It has a rare pink diamond, which symbolizes love and romance. It’s perfect for your beloved.

PRINCE ALEXANDER: It’s beautiful. I’ll take it.

JEWELER: Excellent choice, Your Highness. I’ll wrap it up for you.

(Prince Alexander pays for the ring and exits the store, with a smile on his face)

PRINCE ALEXANDER: I know Cindy will love this ring. It’s as unique and special as she is.

Scene 2:

(Prince Alexander works tirelessly to plan and execute the perfect wedding. He is seated at his desk in the palace, surrounded by wedding planning books, papers, and a laptop. He looks up as his assistant enters the room)

ASSISTANT: Good morning, Your Highness. I see you’re hard at work planning the wedding.

PRINCE ALEXANDER: Yes, I want to make sure everything is perfect for Cindy. She deserves nothing but the best.

ASSISTANT: Absolutely, Your Highness. What can I do to help?

PRINCE ALEXANDER: I need you to check on the caterers and make sure they have everything they need for the reception. Also, I want to finalize the guest list and send out the invitations.

ASSISTANT: Consider it done, Your Highness. Is there anything else?

PRINCE ALEXANDER: Yes, I need to pick out the perfect wedding cake. I’ve heard that the best baker in the kingdom lives in the neighboring village. Can you arrange for me to meet with him?

ASSISTANT: Of course, Your Highness. I’ll make the arrangements right away.

PRINCE ALEXANDER: Thank you. And please remind me to schedule a dance lesson with Cindy. I want our first dance as husband and wife to be perfect.

ASSISTANT: I’ll add that to your calendar, Your Highness.

PRINCE ALEXANDER: Great. I want this wedding to be a day that Cindy and I will never forget.

ASSISTANT: I have no doubt it will be, Your Highness. You’re doing a great job planning it.

(Prince Alexander smiles and gets back to work, determined to plan the perfect wedding for Cindy)

Scene 3:

(The day of the wedding arrives, and everything is going smoothly until Mrs. Van Der Woodsen tries to sabotage the ceremony)

MRS. VAN DER WOODSEN: This is ridiculous! I won’t allow it!  You must know by now that Cindy’s family is not good enough for you. You come from royalty, after all, and she is just a commoner. I know you don’t love her.  Love is just a silly emotion. What’s more important is power and money. And you, Prince, have both. But you’ll never be truly happy with Cindy. You’ll always be wondering what you’re missing out on.

CINDY: Mother, please. Let us be happy.

PRINCE ALEXANDER: It’s okay, Cindy. I’ve got this.

(He approaches Mrs. Van Der Woodsen and whispers something in her ear)

MRS. VAN DER WOODSEN: (surprised) Oh my! That’s…quite unexpected. Are you sure about this?

PRINCE ALEXANDER: (confidently) Absolutely. Trust me, it’s for the best.

(Mrs. Van Der Woodsen nods, and Prince Alexander walks back to Cindy, who looks at him with curiosity)

CINDY: What did you tell her?

PRINCE ALEXANDER: Just something to make her think twice about her plans. Don’t worry, everything will be fine.

CINDY: Okay. I trust you.

Scene 4:

(The wedding proceeds without a hitch, and Cindy and Prince Alexander exchange their vows)

CINDY: I can’t believe this is happening. I’m so happy.

PRINCE ALEXANDER: Me too, Cindy. I love you.

CINDY: I love you too.

(They kiss, and the audience cheers)

In the end, Cindy and Prince Alexander lived happily ever after. They built a life together based on love and respect, and Cindy finally found the family she had always wanted. And as for Mrs. Van Der Woodsen, Emma, and Olivia, they learned that money and status aren’t everything, and that love can come from unexpected places.
