UNDER THE SEA: THE LITTLE MERMAID’S ADVENTURE
Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to a magical underwater world where dreams and imagination swim freely. We invite you to embark on a captivating journey filled with love, sacrifice, and the pursuit of true happiness. Get ready to dive into the enchanting tale of “The Little Mermaid” as we bring this beloved story to life on stage. SCRIPT:
(Scene: Underwater kingdom)
[Enter Ariel, swimming gracefully]
ARIEL: (singing) Under the sea, where dreams come true, I long for a world beyond the blue.
[Flounder swims by, excited]
FLOUNDER: Ariel! Ariel! Guess what? I found something amazing!
ARIEL: What is it, Flounder?
FLOUNDER: Look! It’s a human object! I’ve never seen anything like it before!
ARIEL: (curious) A human object? Let me see!
[They examine the object as Sebastian enters]
SEBASTIAN: Ariel, King Triton wants you home right away!
ARIEL: Oh, Sebastian, not now! I’m fascinated by this object from the human world!
SEBASTIAN: Ariel, you know your father worries about you exploring the surface. It’s dangerous up there!
ARIEL: But there’s so much to discover! I wish I could be part of their world.
[King Triton enters]
KING TRITON: Ariel, you must obey my rules and stay within our kingdom. The human world is not for you.
ARIEL: But Father, there’s so much more to life than just the ocean! I want to know what it’s like to walk on land, to have adventures!
KING TRITON: (sighs) Ariel, I love you, and I want you to be safe. Promise me you won’t go to the surface again.
ARIEL: (disappointed) All right, Father, I promise.
[Scene changes to Ursula’s lair]
[Ursula appears, sinister and cunning]
URSULA: (smirking) So, Ariel wants to be part of the human world, does she? We’ll see about that.
[Scene changes to the surface]
[A storm brews as Prince Eric’s ship is in trouble]
PRINCE ERIC: (struggling) Help! Someone, save me!
[Ariel, unable to resist, swims to the surface and saves Prince Eric]
ARIEL: (sings) Part of your world, where dreams come true, I’ll be with you, no matter what I must do.
[Scene changes to Ursula’s lair]
[Ursula appears with a sinister plan]
URSULA: (laughs) Oh, Ariel, I have a proposition for you. I can give you legs and make you human, but in return, you must give me your voice!
ARIEL: (hesitant) Will I still be able to be with Prince Eric?
URSULA: Oh, yes, my dear. But remember, if he doesn’t kiss you within three days, you’ll belong to me forever!
[Scene changes to the beach]
[Ariel emerges from the water, transformed into a human]
PRINCE ERIC: (astonished) Who are you? You saved me!
[Ariel gestures that she can’t speak]
PRINCE ERIC: Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you. Come, let me show you my world.
[They spend time together, growing closer]
[Scene changes to the ocean]
[Sebastian and Flounder watch from afar]
SEBASTIAN: Oh no, time is running out! Ariel needs Prince Eric’s kiss to stay human!
FLOUNDER: We have to do something, Sebastian!
[Scene changes to Ursula’s lair]
[Ariel’s voice is trapped in a magical shell]
URSULA: (laughs) She’ll never get her voice back now!
[Sebastian and Flounder confront Ursula]
SEBASTIAN: Release Ariel’s voice, Ursula! You won’t win!
[Ursula transforms into a giant sea monster]
[Prince Eric arrives with a ship]
PRINCE ERIC: Ariel, I love you! Kiss me!
[Ariel kisses Prince Eric just as Ursula is about to strike]
[Ursula is defeated, and Ariel’s voice is restored]
[Scene changes to the ocean]
[Ariel and Prince Eric embrace]
KING TRITON: Ariel, you’ve found true love, and I can see that you’re happy. I give you my blessing.
[Everyone celebrates]
[Final scene: Ariel and Prince Eric dance together]
[Ariel sings her final song]
ARIEL: (singing) Now I’m part of your world, where dreams come true, my heart belongs forever to you!
